| If an employee is granted a Career Break he/she will be guaranteed a job on returning to work on the same grade as that which applied at the time immediately before leaving. Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that this job will be of the same nature and in the same business/function as applied prior to the Break. The intention being that an individual's career should not be unduly disrupted as a result of the Break. If, however, this is not possible then he/she may be offered an alternative position which is comparable with the skills, knowledge and experience of that employee. In accepting an employee's application for a Career Break, [...] and Functions commit to be accountable and responsible for ensuring that a position remains available for employees within their business. |
